THE GOOD THE BAD
MUSIC VIDEOS SHOOT IN THE TORONTO
LOVERS IN DANGEROUS TIME
BARENAKED LADIES
The video for the Barenaked Ladies song Lovers in a Dangerous Time had to make the list with all it’s iconic Toronto spots they drive past. The opening shoot is of a lightly snowy road, the second is of a church “ Toronto the city of churches” someone once called it. We cut to a pan shoot of the band in the back of a pickup truck driving throw a strip mall with a Club Bingo, their used to be one in every neighborhood in Toronto. Shoots of brown bricked Scarborough apartments & a burger joint. The band continues on their drive down random bungalow housed street where they drive across a street hockey game the classic “Car, Car” comes across the screen. They make it to their in store at A&A records on to have a two fans show up, the rest where their to buy rap tapes. The Band stops to jam in one of the cites many power line parks next the train tracks.
